What We Do

Worship

Corporate and individual worship are an important part of the believer's life. At First, God is first in our worship. We take time to worship together in both services on Sunday and stress personal worship throughout the week. Worship happens when we center ourselves on the character and purpose of God.
  

Fellowship

Let's face it. We need each other. Relationships are important at First. It is in right relationship that we find God. He designed us for relationship with Him and each other. His love for us is the foundation of all love. His forgiveness, mercy, and kindness are all examples of how we are to treat one another. We invite you to share life with us.
  

Discipleship

Our purpose as a church body is to help people establish a relationship with God and then empower them to become passionate followers of Jesus Christ. It's not just a tagline at First - it's our heart. We provide opportunities for learning and growth at all age levels as well as encourage mentoring relationships so that we can all grow in Christ.
  

Ministry

Ministry happens when, by our actions, we move people one step closer to God. It is our desire at First to meet the needs of people in our community, thus fulfilling the command of Jesus that we should love God and our neighbors.
  

Evangelism

Jesus' mission, in His own words, was to "seek and to save that which was lost". Because of sin, we have all "lost" relationship with God. Restoring that relationship is the mission of First Baptist Church. God wants and has provided a way for all men to come to Him. We believe the "way" is through right relationship with His son, Jesus, and we involve ourselves in helping others come to know Him.
